Konsortium-Merino's ninth production sale really bloomed on the first day of spring. The 131 rams on offer were all sold at an average price of R4 958. The highest price was knocked down at R30 000 and 2 rams were sold at the second highest price of R19 000.

Farmers from Hofmeyer paid R30 000 for a silver merit ram and R19 000 for another. They are Tommy Roux of Allemansvlei, and his sons, Piet and Jakkals, Pierre and Kobus Marais from Vrolikskraal, Johan Froelich from The Pines and Matt Philps from Grootdam. Trompsburg farmers, Derek Alexander from Hamelfontein, his brother Frans from Stofkraal, and CJ Grobbelaar from Geluk, also paid R19 000 for a ram. The 775 merino ewes on the sale averaged R622 each.
