TOP 10% of Merino breed

A considerable number of Konsortium-rams are in the TOP 10% in South Africa regarding their individual BLUP-values. The following will be for sale on 1 September 2005:

  • EBV Body weight: 28 rams in the SA top 10% (adds on 3.63kg body weight)
  • EBV Staple length: 20 rams in the SA top 10% (increases wool length by at least 6.22mm)
  • EBV Micron: 7 rams in SA top 10% (makes wool 1.16 micron finer)
  • EBV Economic value: 12 rams in SA top 10% (will put R15.58+ per lamb into your pocket)
