"We should not be afraid of no-bids and low prices. The flock farmer should be able to fill his bakkie with rams at the Konsortium sale." - John Luscombe, Konsortium-Merino breeder.
Konsortium-Merino's larger offering of sale rams is due to the demands made by flock farmers for more rams at affordable prices. While the demand is there, the Konsortium-breeders will strive to supply enough rams - without compromising quality.
Since the first sale in February 2001, Konsortium-Merino have already sold 1 279 rams on their ten production sales. The biggest offering was the 163 rams on sale in February 2006.
