Top prices for 2003Created on: 30 November 2003 In 2003 Konsortium-Merino gained top prices for their veld rams – not only on their production sales – but also at sales held throughout the country.
Karoo club: In February 2003 they fetched the highest price of R16 000. Their nine rams sold for the highest average of R4 200 each. At the September 2003 sale their silver-merit ram fetched the highest price of R7 700.
Central Free State : One of the Konsortium silver-merit rams was sold for the highest price of R12 000. The club′s Ram of the Year was also a Konsortium ram and sold for the second highest price of R10 500.
Merino SA′s official Bloemfontein sale: With their first offering on this sale, they obtained the second highest price of R16 000 for a silver-merit ram. All five their rams were sold at an average of R8 960 each. Their BLUP-silver-merit ram fetched R12 000. Click on sales for stats on our previous production sales. |
